MARKETview is thrilled to welcome its newest Principal, Joe Dacey. Joe began his career in higher education in 2004 working in both admission and financial aid at Stonehill College in Easton, MA, before moving on to Boston University, where he served as Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission until 2010. After a stint as Senior Associate Dean of Admission at Emmanuel College, he returned to Stonehill initially serving as Senior Associate Dean of Admission and Enrollment from 2011 to 2014. He later transitioned to the academic division, serving as Director of Academic Services and Advising where he spent two years overseeing the College’s student success and retention initiatives. Joe moved back to the enrollment division in 2016 when he was named Dean of Admission and Assistant Vice President of Enrollment before ultimately being appointed Vice President for Enrollment Management in early 2019.

Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Stonehill and an Ed.M in education policy, planning and administration from Boston University. He is scheduled to complete an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Boston College in the spring of 2024.

Joe and his wife Bethann are both native New Englanders. They enjoy spending weekends exploring the many parks and beaches along the east coast and beyond with their two sons, Ryan and Luke, who share their parents’ love for the outdoors. When they aren’t out hiking or exploring the coastline, Joe probably has the family helping out with the next home improvement project. Avid do-it-yourselfers, the family never misses an episode of This Old House, which Joe claims taught him everything you need to know to any house into a home.

“Having worked in higher education for almost twenty years, I have had the benefit of seeing more than a few periods of ‘disruptive change’ that we, as institutions, often wish we could have better anticipated,” Joe said. “While campuses may be awash in their own data, MARKETview is distinct in its ability leverage that information into actionable strategies for the future. I am beyond excited to become part of a team that is both capable and committed to identifying what is actually true about the market for the purpose of redefining what it means to really anticipate change.”
