MARKETview is thrilled to welcome our newest Data Engineer, Drake Wagner. Drake graduated from the University of Virginia in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He has since been enrolled in UVA’s MS in Data Science program and is set to graduate this May. Drake has enjoyed working as a research assistant in various labs, as a teaching assistant for graduate data science courses, and as a freelance Python programmer for certain projects. These roles helped confirm that programming and working with large amounts of data is what he is most interested in and paved the way to applying to MARKETview.
Besides being passionate about the work he does, Drake also enjoys learning. You can often find him up at 3:00 in the morning researching new programming languages or keeping up with current trends in technology. In his free time, he enjoys playing electric bass and singing in a band around Richmond, reading epic fantasy novels, rooting on his Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lightning, going to concerts, and meeting new people.
